We used to have goose sometimes when I was growing up.
I also love duck, and venison, and rabbit.
I have not tried any of the others however I would probably like them all, as was brought up on a European diet which is quite different to Australian.
We had duck quite a bit when I was growing up,but I have not had much else.
I would happily try lean roo meat as it does look very healthy when I see it at my butcher's. As for rabbit,it is a huge psychological no!! Ridiculous really, but there we have it!!
I enjoy gamey meats. Duck, rabbit, goat, buffalo, camel
etc. Crocodile is not for me though.
I've eaten bison burgers but I'm pretty sure they were farmed bison, so not really that gamey. I've also had elk sausage, which was gamey but good.
I've eaten duck, venison, pigeon, pheasant, and partridge. I like all five, but duck is my favourite.
I'm not hugely into meat so I don't think I would really enjoy game meats.
Yes, I've eaten lots of game. I grew up in the English countryside and there was lots around and butchers who specialised in hanging game until it was very tender and delicious. In our family, we refer to it as "roadkill" as most game meat can be found on the roadside after being hit by a car....
I have only tasted duck. I don't really eat a lot of meat
We've had duck and kangaroo. I add kangaroo mince to all of my mince recipes (but not more than 25% of the total meat or hubby objects) like spaghetti Bolognese, meatloaf, rissoles, etc. A chef friend once told me that the darker the red meat was: the more iron content, nutritionally speaking. As a kid, My siblings and I were practically brought up on rabbit, but I only remember it tasting like chicken - unless Mum disguised it that way.
Yes, love game! It's got to be cooked 'just right', but not every chef knows how to.
Had meat of crocodile & buffalo. Clam in TPNG. Love duck. Enjoy pheasant & spatchcock. Kangaroo, too.
But my fav is Venison! Will order anytime I see it on a Menu......
I've eaten venison, duck, rabbit and wild boar the latter I had on my overseas cruise and came from the castle's estate. I really enjoyed that, not so partial to duck unless cooked chinese style.
I did have duck once, but I wasn't keen on it, the meat is obviously darker than chicken, and as far as other gamey meats go, I've never tried it.
