Yes, I sell regularly.
We are not allowed to sell electrical items at the Op Shop where I volunteer, so I bring home the electrical items, sell them, and give the money back to the op shop -great revenue raiser but a lot of work.
I have also sold some things privately over the years and find it one of the easiest to list on.
No, I avoid gumtree because of all the 'animals to good home' and back yard animal breeders selling to the public.
sorry, i'll reply to myself :) gumtree is a great alternative to other sites such as ebay... I just personally wish gumtree would introduce a 'no animal' rule.
Yes, that is really dodgy. :(
Yes I have sold a few items but more importantly I am on there advertising myself as a celebrant at present..
No I haven't.
I find the Pics are way tooooo small to see anything.
you can enlarge them jonaj -mine are not small once yo click on them!
Oh! well that's great maybe I should have another look :)
Or click on the ad/picture and you should get a bigger one, (on a computer) I don't know about a phone.
I've never tried Gumtree but have sold quite a lot on ebay. I hadn't realised it was free to list - I must give it a go. M
I have put things up on Gumtree to be sold, but the items were never actually sold.
I have never sold or bought anything on gumtree
Yes, I have sold items on Gumtree (but only one item on eBay). It is an easy site to use.
No, never have, never will. Not 'my scene' whatsoever!
I have several things listed and on average, sell one every couple of weeks.
I have sold a few things on Gumtree but have listed a lot of others that didn't sell.
I prefer ebay.. seems to get more traffic and more sales.
I have sold an electrical item on Gumtree that hadn't sold on eBay- local pickup is much better for huge bulky stuff that costs a heap to post (like $70!)
I have bought a microwave on Gumtree.
Nope. I tried to sdll my clothes once (new but too big for me as ibought them only)
Have never sold them
I use both Ebay and Gumtree.
As far as ease of use, Gumtree is far easier and quicker.
Also note, it is free which is always a bonus. Unlike ebay that charges 10% plus there are Paypal fees on top of that if you use that method of payment.
As far as sales go, honestly I find it pretty much the same for both sites.
It's a shame ebays popularity means it's not as good as it used to be.
None the less, I'm sure others will agree or disagree with my opinion...and that's the beauty of the internet :)
No, as I do not know much about the Website, I usually buy from eBay.

I bought two delightful puppies through Gumtree a few weeks ago. They were sold by a family who drove 3.5 hours to deliver them. They were a nice family and didn't appear to be running a puppy farm and have rung me several times to make sure the puppies have settled. I did find out afterwards that legally they should have had them microchipped and inoculated. I have now done this,
I have a female eclectic parrot for sale. Does ebay sell birds?
No, I've never bought or sold anything on line!
As I wright this in March '17, Gumtree sees to be in some sort of trouble, when the people who say they'll meet you somewhere, take your money from you & RUN. There was a news story about it, or may have been on the A.C.A programme, about a week ago.
