Yes, I have when I was very young.
Tried it when a bit older and was actually scared -not quite sure of what, but would rather be in a tent if I had to sleep outside.
I would probably be scared of bugs and things crawling on me while I slept, and think it is quite an eerie feeling anyway.
When I was in my mid teens I went on a two week outback trip with school. We all slept under the stars on many of the nights near the S.A./N.T. border. It was just so stunning and we could not be bothered putting the tents up!! I cannot do this now though as I have very severe arthritis right through my body, and cannot lie so fat anymore! What a pity.It was just so gorgeous and I would LOVE to do it again.....
No, I've never slept under the stars, like Finy I would be a bit worried about the wildlife. Depending on the location perhaps I would also worry about personal security.
Yes , I have done that a lot as a kid when we had a farmhouse. Miss those days ! It was lovely to wake up looking at the sky .
I have never slept a whole night under the stars. I'm not sure I would like to. I like comfort when I sleep!
No I have never slept the WHOLE night under the stars
No, I've never had the experience of sleeping under the stars.
No I haven't I don't think.
Not into things that can crawl on me..
But! it is something that I would think with maybe netting, I could do.
Yes. I've slept on the back of the ute a couple of times and also slept under the stars while camping with a friend once or twice. The circumstances were - just a nice change of scenery and much easier than trying to put a tent up while drinking LOL
When I was a kid we often slept on the back lawn on hot nights. It was so much better than trying to sleep inside in the stifling heat. A few years ago I slept under the stars all night and it was lovely. However, my back and hips aren't keen on this now.
Yes, once only, overnight in a National Park, as did late bush walk, with a group. Very tired next day though!
Would prefer just camping out!
A number of times. The most memorable would have to be in the White desert in Egypt in 2009. The scenery was what I imagine sleeping on the moon would be like. Fantastic!!! A few glasses of red wine assisted the sleeping process!!!!!

Yes several times in my life. I did thisas recently as last Summer. My husband was away and I was enjoying sitting out, watching the sky. My neck was getting stiff so I decided to lie down. As I dont have anything better I lay on the table in an old sleeping bag. I bought the dog up there for an extra set of ears and reclined in comfort. At some point I put the dog inside as she was restless and stayed there until dawn. It was lovely to connect with nature like that.
This is out of character for me, but made me realise that I spend a lot of time being scared of things that probably wont happen.
