Have you ever seen the birth of an animal?

As this picture is my own, I obviously have!

I used to breed llamas, amongst other animals, and this was perhaps the niecest part of the adventure.

I found it very exciting, being there, helping and interacting with the animals.

And the reaction of the others in the herd was amazing! They would all come over and "welcome" the new arrival by "kissing" it -a thing that llamas do very easily with people as well....

The births mostly appeared so easy and mostly in the early morning. i was always there to witness and record each step and came to know when the mother was starting in labour.

I miss them!

In person in reality...only my cat years ago....it is simply an miracle isn't it...any birth...we mothers really are so special.....

Yes, I have. I was lucky enough to be at a dairy farm when one of the cows delivered her baby and it was a wonderful thing to see. Can't believe how quickly those tiny little things are up on their feet and looking for a feed!

I have never seen an animal give birth - other than on TV. It's something that I would like to witness

I have seen my pets give birth to their babies and each one is a MIRACLE!!! How very humbling that animals trust us humans to be their at such a special m oment! When I was a very small girl,we stayed on a farm and I saw the cow there have her little calf.This has stayed with me for my whole life! I am always so amazed at how these dear babies can wobble up on to their new legs within minutes and find their mother's milk supply! Humans have still got a lot to admire about their furry friends!!

Well I can't see the animal filling out an Incident Report and complaining about those present at the time of birthing. But I'll bet those animals would like to be on their own, nice and warm and quiet.

Not yet. I'm training as a childbirth doula and have supported a couple of labours. I am hoping to see many human animals be born.

Yes my two grandsons , oh so wonderful to be the first to see my special boys into the world . Sue . Also been lucky to see our dog with her litter and kept counting the puppies as they arrived . Just minding blowing . Sue

No, I haven't seen any real life animal births, just on a couple of TV shows.

No, nothing as exciting as the 1 in the above photo, but 1 night last week, around midnight, we saw a few sacarders hatching from their shells on leaves & plants in our garden, on 1 side of our driveway!
