Have you ever ridden on a camel or an elephant?

I have ridden on both -a camel in Broome and whilst stuck in India after a plane fault.

I used to go on the old elephant at Taronga Park Zoo when I was a kid.

I dont think I would go on the elephant again, and I was quite scared in Broome while on the camel, and it was not exactly comfortable, even though it was fun.

No, I have not. I had opportunities as a kid but I was too scared. Now, having read a lot about how these animals are treated for human entertainment, I don't think I will be doing it even if I get an opportunity.

I think Elephant would be my first choice, they are HUGE!

I have ridden elephants at the zoo when I was very little,and I have often ridden camels as they are always popular up here in North Qld!! I could ride a camel as often a possible,I love these gorgeous animal and the plo-opp of there fabulous cushioned feet as they touch the ground is amazing. They have the most beautiful faces too!! Have you ever really looked into a camels stunningly lashed eyes!! Oh Heavens!!! just totally out of this world.

you should see their cousins, the llama, faces -much more regal and delightful!

My ex had a couple of Llamas,and they were sooooooooo beautiful. A much better size than the camels as well!! Oh Those Stunning Eyes!! I only saw the photos ,but I fell in love with them.Pity my ex wasn't half as wonderful!!! Hee Hee!!!

Giraffes have beautiful eyes too

I have ridden camels recently in Morrocco on the desert they are,very uncomfortable if you have a bad back so my riding days are over, ridin elephants in Malaysia and Thailand over the mountains amazing animals love it Fazee

Camel a couple of times! Prefer a horse, though!
Would never ride an elephant; just TOO big in every way.

Yes an Elephant in Thailand,
a bit scary being so high off the ground, but a wonderful treat and on a lovely docile animal.

Yes, I've ridden both. I rode the elephant at Sydney's Taronga Zoo, when I was 5 or 6, & I rode a camel in Alice Springs, for a VERY short distance, from the main gate, to the fence at the end of a small paddock It was most uncomfortable!

i have ridden a camel, it was a bit scary for me, especially when the camel gets off the floor.
