I am learning Mahjong.
I had played it on my I pad and it was a bit boring however having only had one lesson so far, I really love it!
It is both interesting and challenging and tomorrow I get together with a few others to practise before our second lesson later in the week.
It is quite complicated though I am sure once I am used to it, it will be easy - it is the latest craze round here with many people playing it weekly!
I play computer mahjong by myself. The real game looks wonderful but I doubt I would have the patience to learn . . . .however, I might surprise myself.
computer mahjong is just clicking on pairs? the game is totally different...
Yes. That's why I know I wouldn't have the patience. LOL!
No. I have never played Mahjong and I am not really interested in learning. I can't ever see myself playing it in the future.
I have played on the computer. My game of choice is Chess.
I have never played it, not one for games much at the moment.
It looks complex?
I don't think I have either the patience or the intelligence to learn. I've seen my mum play and that just leaves me bewildered.
Like me and Backgammon. My brain just can't do it.
I loved Backgammon growing up; wouldn't have a clue how to play now :p
I have it on my ipad but I have never played it
it's boring on the ipad! just matching numbers which is nothing like the real game AJ!
Yes. It can be an interesting past time.
I would love to learn how to play...

When I was at school, My best friend taught me how to play this fascinating game. Her dad had a really gorgeous set he had been given when working overseas with the Navy, and this was the set which we used!! He would often watch us and make suggestions to us.... We always had a super time, and I am now rather sad that I did not continue with it, as I have forgotten just about all I knew back then. Maybe I could visit one of the clubs which abound up here, and see if it still holds my interest!
what a shame we live on opposite sides of Australia Jules! We could play Mahjong, while sitting with our dogs!
Now THAT is my idea of BLISS!!!! Thanks so much for such a lovely comment!
Played it a lot when I lived in PNG many years ago, (there was no TV) a lot of fun.
My favourite game. I've an original set of tiles I've had for many years. We always played lots of different games when the children were growing up and although I only play on line now, it's nothing like the real thing. However, having said that, you still need to use your brain when matching on-line tiles as there could be several options.
I have played on computer and years ago when I bought a set played a few games. It must be harder than I thought because I know people take lessons. I think as with a deck of cards , there are different games that can be played. Some can be quite strategic I think. I would play again, but would like to keep it light and not play if it was too serious.
Only on my Ipad.. I got bored with it very quickly.
see my answer further up to AJ!
No I,ve never played mahong and I've never heard of it up till now.
Yes! I've played mah jong online, on my phone and in real life! It is a great game if you enjoy it! Makes you think and use your brain!
I've never played it, but our eldest daughter used too, years ago. It must have been at a friends house I guess. She moved interstate, more than 1/2 her life ago, so I don't think she's played it again since her big move.
