Have you ever owned hand knitted socks?

Yes! I used to own so many as a child. My grandmother and great grandmother would knit them for us. Now I have only one pair.

No but I would love to own a pair or two - there are some fantastic patterns out there but I don't knit. I do crochet and I'm thinking of asking a couple of friends who knit if they would make me some socks if I can crochet something for them in return... set up a woolly bartering system :)

I have a pair in my drawer.
Made with real wool....that makes my feet get toooooo hot!
A lady from where I live, made them for me.
So I can't wear the. :(
