Yes, I make them regularly, and I also bought them
here.
The review says it all. I currently have apricotr and almond slice which is quite rich but very good - most of them are quite rich but have little or no added sugar and use fruit instead of sugar.
It sounds odd, but they I have not tasted one I did not like.
WOW!! I had a look at you link and they are amazzzzing! I can see how good they look, and this is one of the 1st things I will be getting into when I get my new home & kitchen winning xxx Thanks Finy! trust you to have you finger on the pulse :)
No, I have never made a Raw food cake or slice. It would be too hard to find the ingredients, such as non homogenised, non pasteurised milk. Anything with a lot of fruit in it, or with agave syrup, or dates or dried fruits would not be good for me, as all these things are terribly high in sugar. People think that they are good for them because they are fruits and therefore 'natural'. Due to the high sugar content, it would be no good for me, so no point in making it.
far less sugar than most recipes even with the fruit, and it is not as processed as sugar is
Well I just don't make or eat sweet things at all. It's all bad for me. No sugar in this kitchen.
Fructose IS sugar. The amounts are immaterial. If you are diabetic you simply can't have it. Any of it. End of.
R.I.P. sugar, hey Lluxi .. . . we knew it well :(( Got my bsl down to 4.7 last week . . nearly threw a party!!
Congrats to you Rice !!! Mine varies around 4.9 - 5.2. Doctors and dietitian are ecstatic. Hba1c is back to normal too, in non diabetic range.
. . and high fives for you too, Lluxi!!
Eating the right foods and losing weight can work wonders and reverse diabetes. Certainly worked for me.
I'm a tad confused?
Raw as in no bake?
Well it would seem I don't think I may have, as I don't know what 'raw' in this sense means....(am I out-of-date) maybe.
I have not baked since maybe 2003? because we had no working stove for the last 12 years now. I only ever used a plug-in-cook top.
When I do buy my new home here in Qld, I will be looking into a fair few foods....maybe! raw will be on the menu :)
bliss balls are raw - they are just sweets made generally with no added sugar, and using fruit - dates, nuts etc
they are everywhere - read the link i think i sent in my original and you will see what they look like! quite amazing.
the link is the word HERE in first sentence - it was amazing!
