Have you ever licked your plate clean?

I do it as there is no one around and am surprised when i asked a companion last night, that she also does it.

And to think I believed I was the only person who did this disgusting habit!

I particularly do it with chocolate or caramel sauce, and definitely with egg yolks.

Of course I have!! Anyone who says they have NEVER done this guilty Pleasure is surely Fibbing!! I rem,ember as a child,we had to ask,'Please May I lick My Plate?',and if the answer was Yes,we had to do this in the kitchen over the sink,rather than at the dining table!! Hee Hee Hee!!!!!

I am hesitant to say but yes. Normally when no one is looking and if I have really enjoyed what was on my plate. If I can't lick it with my tongue, I scoop up the last bits of juices with my finger. Feeling very silly writing this. Hope not too many people will read this.

Ohhhhhhh I feel so normal now. My family is disgusted when I have eggs on toast and then lick the plate. But it seems everyone does it when no one is watching......naughty naught plate lickers!!!!

Always. Except in restaurants. Then I try to use my finger to lick up the remains.

At restaurants I do not lick my plate. However, I do pick up and gnaw on cutlet bones much to the disgust of my family.
At home I do not lick my plate but I do eat the crispy tails of lamb loin chops, much to the disgust of my family.

Oh! Fran....your first para it's a chicken bone for me, as I only eat Crumbed French Lamb Cutlets at home!
And the second para, at home I'll enjoy doing so whenever there's gravy on the plate, & I've used a spoon to collect as much as possible! Lol!

Only when I was a child. I have way too much pride to do that now. Even when I'm home. If the food is really that good I would use my utensils the best I can to get as much as I can off the plate. Besides that I have to set an example for my kids.Their little eyes are ALWAYS on me.

When I was a child, for sure. It's not a clear memory but I am sure I did. I now have a dear little thin spatula which gets every bit of goodness off plates and out of bowls for me. (I wish I had the one in my pic though.)
