Have you ever had a premonition that came true?

Yes, I have.
My mother once said to me -phone your fiance -I lived in Sydney and he lived in Perth.

I said, what on earth for, I spoke to him tonight -she would not tell me why -I phoned and he had had a car accident and she said later she knew something had happened.

Mine was not so dramatic -it happens soimetimes that I think of phoning someone and then the phone rings, and it is them!

Yes. I once had a dream that my best friends husband was cheating on her with another friend. They were having trouble in the marriage but she couldn't figure out why. I brought up the idea that maybe he was having an affair, but she refused to listen. A few weeks later she called me on the phone and told me what had happened and the scenario played out exactly like in my dream. I was rather spooky! I have also had visions of small accidents before they have happened, particularly with my kids. Once my kids were playing near our glass sliding door and I saw it slide off the hinges before it happened. Luckily I was able to get them out of the way so nobody was hurt.

Yes, I dreamt of my late Sister-in-Law. I had never dreamt of her, ever. However in the dream she was youthful and excited that she would soon be seeing my brother. Well when I awoke, I wondered what the dream was about so after 3 years of not talking to him, I sent him a text of "Are you OK?" to which he replied Not really, life's tough... He rang me a month later and said that when I had sent him the sms, he had been thinking of driving into the path of a truck.... Well I think that's a premonition that could have come true.... You wouldn't believe it now he and his dogs are living with us for a short time between residences!

I'm a very down to earth person too.
But, when these things happen we have no control.
It's info coming to us, from another area of life, and most people will have them.
What they do with it, is another thing :)

I agree partly jonaj -however I dont really believe in the afterlife, so doesnt make sense but it has happened to me on several occasionas -one big one which is too long to explain on here!

I agree jonaj. I believe these things are shown to us for a reason and we must listen...

I had a dream one night.
In the morning I gave it no thought, until I saw the day unfold just as it was in the dream!
I was totally shocked, and certain other parts came into full view.

It turns out that nothing in my life after that day, were ever the same.
I seem to take a far different path, as each part of that unfolded, and not from anything I did.
Even thinking about it, makes my skin crawl, it was so very strange.

I also had another, but that is far too in depth.Of course all came true, and I
have to say, there has to be one part of our lives that is ''ment to be''.

Yes, a few times, the one my family most remember is when I was a school girl I got up super early and looking out of our window into the distance I could see a house on fire...I asked my dad to look and he couldn't see a house....which would make sense as you can only see fields, hills and trees. This was at 7am. That night at 7pm, there was a house fire in a house in exactly the direction that I'd seen that morning. It was the house I'd seen that morning. I used to have more of these 'moments' but they've happened less and less as I've gotten older and likely more cynical.

Wow! I think kids are really intuitive about that sort of thing. Mine definitely are, the older two not so much now, but my youngest absolutely is. Sometimes, i have to be careful what I am thinking as he will pick up on it!

I guess so. I had a dream early in the morning about a coworker. I woke up remembering it quite clearly. When I went to work the exact scene played out. It was creepy.

Yes plenty of them. The worst one was that I would drive to my mums funeral in a white BMW. As I did not own one this was not an issue.
Mum had a heart condition but managed it with out any problem.
15 years past and one Sunday morning I was reading the paper and came across an add for a car. On my way to work that day I dropped in to see it and purchased it. Next morning a call came from Adelaide advising me Mum had passed. I drove to the funeral in the white BMW. I had forgotten the dream after so much time until the call reminded me.

odd co incidence though I dont believe in co-incidences! weird...do you think the white BMW was somewhere in your memory nevertheless?

I am not sure what you mean Finy but the purchase was not planned and the dream had been forgotten.Within 24 hrs of the purchase Mum had passed.
The other odd thing was that the guy who sold me the car stated that it was in such good condition and had low klms because it it had been in storage for a long time. Mum lived with a bad heart condition well into her mid 80s
This is not the only one but just the most personal.

I believe you, that is amazing.It gave me a chill as I read what you wrote.

I remember waking with a start one morning, aged 12 and looking out of the bedroom window. It was 7am, and I clearly remember thinking, 'what a beautiful day it is, so peaceful....' When I got up, my adult sister told me that my Mum died at 7am that morning. Mum had suffered from MS and lived in a nursing home from 40years old to 50 because she was a quadraplegic. I guess she was at 'peace' when she died.

Regularly, but my most striking was predicting the loss of the shuttle "Columbia". As I watched it taking off, I turned to my son and said' "They won't be back." I have never felt that before or since. I often get "flashes" of the future but only if I am not concentrating on the future - an outcome just appears in my brain.

Hmmm! Can't think of any premonitions', but one outstanding 'déjà-vue'........

I travelled to a big city here, never having been there before, to visit some friends'. When we were driving around in the city, & the country, I 'felt' as if I'd been there before, in another 'life'! Go figure!

Have had occasion, to have to go to SAME city another 4 times, over 13 years' from first visit, & EVERY time, I've got that same 'feeling'.

This has NEVER happened to me in ANY other city here, or overseas'.
There's 'something' about that city that creates that 'feeling' for me, & it must be 'strong'! So first occurrence was now 46 years' ago, & latest was 19 years' ago.
I can't explain, so I don't try, but it's odd!

Yes. A lot of things have eventuated. I predicted accidents whilst driving as well as family events. Both my grandmother and mother also had this gift.

What a good question ...its prompted some interesting answers.
I dreamt of a big train crash and fire in England whilst I was a teenager there. It happened two weeks later.
I woke one night thinking my partner had passed away. He died two weeks later.in a clinic.
I dreamt that my sister was in great danger...I was in England and she was in Australia. I saw her six months later and she told me she had been in a car accident where the car had rolled over and she was going down a hill. WE discussed the date and it seemed to be around the same time.
I dreamt that my sister-in-law or the baby she was carrying died. The baby died.
My sister also has these same dreams and premonitions about other people.

One as a child was particularly frightening and in my dream I shot my father. The next day everything happened that I had dreamt, including Mum asking me to hide my father's rifle. I knew that in my dream shooting my father did not end well, so I clung to my bed so I wouldn't let the end unfold as it had in my dream. I was terrified that everything else had happened as in the dream , so I thought it may be inevitable. It wasn't fortunately.
I had a premonition while driving with my little son in the car one night. I had a warning voice tell me to be careful ahead. I shook it off, but I had the warning voice a second time- very insistantly. I slowed right down as I approached a bend in the road. There was an accident scene where a vehicle had hit a cow and another car hit it. It was a scene of carnage. If I had been driving at normal speed I wouldn't have avoided it.

I am someone with a scientific mind and I don't know how to explain these things and others that have happened, but they are true.
