Have you ever had what you believe is a near-death experience? What did it feel like? How do you know it was genuine?

Yes I have on my farm. I was injured by a large animal jumping on me, and sitting on me when I was down, and I suddenly thought "this is the way I will die" -it went all peaceful after that and the panic totally stopped.

One of my dogs saved my life by "yelling" in the strangest dog noise I have ever heard, and the animal got a fright and jumped off me.

Yes - it was in high school when everyone is awkward and wanting to please EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING AROUND THEM!

I ended up having an eating disorder, and my stubborn self almost killed me. If it wasn't for the help I received (against my will but for the better), I wouldn't be typing this answer out today.

I didn't die, but was taken to a place that was out-of-this-world.
I do not care if people believe me.
I know what happened, and I was totally aware, it was REAL.
I went to Heaven for about 5 mins, and what I saw is impossible to tell.
The feeling of complete love, and joy is nothing we will ever experience here on earth.
It is far more, and you just can not tell people....nothing comes close to it.
Nothing at all.
It gives me hope, and even to this day...I can still see the most beautiful of things, and joy I had.
How I know it happened and was real.....because it was more intense, and real than how we live today.
Far more intense....It stay's with you, to the point that you can not forget.
I believe you.

Was it love that God wants all people to experience but is shadowed in our earthly problems here on earth

Not so much our Earthly problems....God wants people to want Him, He won't force people :)

I had a bad car accident from a situation I couldn't get out of due to a bad driver coming towards me. I had seconds to realize that I would be in a crash and thought I would die. As it happened I survived but I was haunted by the notion of my death for a long long time afterwards, and it was difficult to move on from the feeling.
Thankfully no.
I suffered a cardiac arrest in 1994. While I was "gone," my late daughter came to me and held my hand. I was on my back on a flat, shiny disk that began to rotate and tilt and I became afraid. Miriam said to me "Don't worry Mommy; whatever happens, you'll be just fine. When I opened my eyes, the emergency room nurse said "She's back."
I don't know what this experience is, but it's happened to me EVERY time I've had a General Anaesthetic.

I'm going extremely rapidly down a 'train' tunnel, faster & faster & there's a very bright white light, 'at the end of the tunnel', going so fast now it's difficult to 'concentrate', then, bang, & I'm awake!
