Maybe when I was very young and had not realised just how easy this is to do when the limit is not high anyway!! But these days I only use a Debit Card which I have to transfer my money into anyway,so I cannot go over the limit at all!!!
I cut up my credit cards many years ago. If I don't have the money in any particular month then I don't spend over.
My English pension is about half the Australian pension and its sometimes hard to manage but there' s no choice. I have been in debt many years ago when bringing up children as a single Mum and its a horrid place to be in. My bank visa rejects a demand if there are not sufficient funds.
Oh no, the accountant in me would be aghast. My husband and I pay everything possible on our credit card to get the loyaly benefits and probalby end up with about $200 worth of petrol vouchers each year. But we always pay it off before it's due, in fact we usually pay it off every Friday. So use them to best advantage but don't abuse them.
No, never. I hardly ever bothered using it anyway. I'd rather use cash. For the last 8 months or so I haven't had a card, as I've lost it in our house somewhere!
