Have you ever forgotten your own phone number?
I know it may sound silly, but we hardly ever use our own number. If we do need to phone home, it is usually on a mobile, where they number is already pre-installed so you don't have to type it every time.
When filling in a form or something, have you ever forgotten your own phone number?

I've never forgotten my number, in fact, I sometimes start calling my own number by accident, when Im meant to be calling someone else. The other dad my dad forgot our number.
Yes in a emergency, a real one!
I was unable to think.
It's part of getting old...my mind flips out.
Very sad!!!
Embarrassingly, yes. I don't use my mobile very often (it's mainly just to contact the family when I'm out) and have actually never got around to learning the number. After all, I never need to phone myself! If I'm ever caught out, though, I joke about it and people are very understanding...
Yes, several times when it was new -I used to mix up two of the numbers and often gave the wrong number.
It took about 4 weeks of having the new number till I got it right, and after a few weeks I stuck it to my computer screen, so I could not give a wrong number again.
Yeah especially when I travel overseas and get a new number for my holiday period .sometimes embarrassing :) and usually the only time when I forgive my husband for forgetting my number too :)
I never learned my new phone number...I do however know my mobile number and my husband's mobile number off by heart.
Yes because basically you don't ring yourself :-)
I've never bothered to learn my new home number. I don't like not being able to screen my calls so have only given it to close family. Everyone else gets my mobile number, which I can turn off when I go to bed.
I have no idea what my home phone number is, because I only have it set up in order to use broadband. I've used the same mobile number for 4 years, so I hope I don't forget it.
Yes I have, usually when I have just got a new number. I am ok with that because I don't ring my self so I think it is onlly natural that it will take me longer to learn it. Anyway, that is my defense and I am sticking to it!
No, not the landline, but it took me a long time to learn my mobile number, off by heart!
A few folk I know, have to 'look into' their mobile to advise that number! Lol!
Yes, ALL the time, after we HAD to have our landline No changed when we changed computer providers last year. We begged & begged to keep our old No, but they said no we couldn't. We’d had it since early June ’77.
Yes. Rather embarrassing to have to ring my mother and ask her to ring home to pass on the message that I required something urgently. The problem was having it stored in speed dial at the office, I had no need to actually dial the number. It took ages to live that one down.
Not usually. I am great at forgetting passwords and PIN numbers though
As a matter of fact yes. I quite often forget it when someone asks for it as I am not in the habit of calling myself. I'm never home anyway should I ever decide to ring myself.
Not anymore, I've had the same number for years. The first few months I did.
