Have you ever experimented with cooking and end up inventing something?

Yes, just today in fact! It happens quite a lot to me as I don't like following recipes and just tend to throw in whatever I can find in the fridge and cupboards.... tonight's culinary masterpiece was slow cooked beef with an onion sauce. My husband practically licked his plate and my son actually did :)

No. I'm terrible at this. I'd probably end up wasting a lot of food that could have been good otherwise.

Not me, I'm a pretty ordinary cook with littel interest in culinary creation but I admire people who can.

I have, but I really do not feel 100% ok with it.

I found out a while ago, food is not something to make too many mistakes with.

Chef's can experiment all the time, but they have a very good understanding of what can work, and not work.

I'm no 'Heston' that is for sure!

No, this has not happened to me as far as I can remember as if I experiment it is usually something quite simple

Yes I have experimented or tried unusual dishes.
I guess I have almost been able to half fill a rubbish bin with the MISTAKES - YUK.
My wife takes one sniff or taste and says she will eat something other than what I have cooked..
So nothing ventured nothing gained, and now I can cook and I think making the odd stuff ups has had it's benefits.
