Have you ever delivered catalogues or the local paper?
It's generally considered a job for kids looking for a few dollars or the elderly with time on their hands. Delivering catalogues or the local paper can be good exercise too.
Have you ever done it? Do you recommend it?

Yes I have done it as a Adult.
No I do not recommend it, for the amount you are paid...you have to work extremely long hours.
I've considered it, but I've never actually done it. From what I've heard, the time you spend organising all the catalogues at home means that it's not really worth it. If it was just newspapers I might be more interested, because I do enjoy a walk through the suburbs.
My kids deliver catalogues and I often help. We tried doing the local paper but it was too much work for the money.
I helped my friend deliver some once for his business. I thought it would be fun, but it wasn't. Heavy bag with pamphlets in it. It might be for some people, but it isn't for me.
I do it now, only because I don't have a proper job and it keeps me occupied and brings in a bit of extra money.
But my agency does different suburban areas each week so I get a change of scenery, I see plants/trees in all seasons and have built up my fitness so I can now do 2-3 hours of walking a day.
Only had to do it once on a uni internship - otherwise no, not interested.
I've never delivered papers. My first job was planting trees, and my second one was as a waitress, which was much more preferable to the tree one! I even got tips.
I have volunteered to do a letter box drop for the church to announce a community 'carols by candle light' event. But didn't quite like it.
No I have not done it. I am the person who has to pick up the catalogues we receive at home!
Can't say I have but it would be a good way to get paid to exercise...
Yes. Homecare is a nice way of getting to know your neighborhood and excercise !
My sister did it for a week. It was absolutely ridiculous. The money is not worth the amount of work that is required. We quickly realised that she wasn't going to meet the deadline she was given. Guess who had to help.
Yes, I helped a friend out once.. and only once.. the only thing I got out of it was good exercise and aching muscles the next day...
I did it to earn an extra buck when I was in high school. Didn't last long. I hate walking! :(
Yes I have done this a long time ago but the money was pathetic!
No I haven't but I know people who do deliver to mailboxes. It's hard work and thankless really because the money is dreadful (but that depends on how much you need that extra money). I have great respect for the people that are willing to get out and do the hard slog.
No, I have never done catalogue deliveries.
