I haven't been anywhere that koalas can be cuddled. The wild ones have a reputation of being a bit aggressive when they are frightened so I prefer to gaze on them from afar.

I think koalas are adorable, but apparently they can be scary if the need arises. I once had the opportunity to hug a koala as a child, but I was too scared to go near it.

I always thought that koalas were actually viscous if you try to touch them.

We do not have koalas in Western Australia, which is odd, but, no, I have never cuddled a koala and it is not on my bucket list either.

Yes, many times when I was a child, at Lone Pine Sanctuary.
They're furry, soft & cuddly BUT don't get on the wrong side of one. Their claws can rip you open!

Yes. I have a photo taken of me with one at Lone Pine in the early 'fifties. Of course, I was too young to realise that my lovely red seersucker sundress was in danger of being drenched.

BTW, my Father was the Photographer at Lone Pine, so he probably took your photo!. I would know for sure by the number(s) on the back of the photo, written in lead pencil!

donjo, I will have to go through the memorabilia and find this pic. It may be difficult to prise it from the sticky backing once commonly used in photo albums. Will have my brother check his also.
