I think I have bought it once in all the years I have been in Perth, and I have not often seen it.
It used to be easy to find, however have not seen it for many years.
Last week I DID buy a cream that was three times the price of ordinary cream and it was so thick, it was difficult to even spoon over my salt chocolate mousse!
Had a friend over for a few days so splashed out on a good cream though it didnt really taste any different - perhaps not as sweet.....but the chocolate mousse was to die for!
No. I have never bought it, or seen it for sale in the shops. I'm sure it is there, but I am just not looking for it. I have had Devonshire teas with clotted cream, especially when I go to High teas, they seem to have it. I can't tell you what it tastes like, because it tasted the same to me, just very thick cream.
wellness - dollop cream will DOLLOP - clotted cream will not - whatever I had was just so thick, I couldnt get it off the spoon like other creams, and as lluxi said, it really tasted no different and was about $4.50!
Yes, I remember having it in Europe in a few times. Most memorable, I remember telling my husband that we had to go visit Sally Lunn's in Bath and I remember getting a large tub of it with my Sally Lunn bun.
