Raw food is so much more than just boring old salads, and fortunately there are an increasing number of eateries showing us how delicious and healthy it can be.

Have you ever been to a raw food eatery, and what was your favourite food? Which ones can you recommend to others?

Once. The food was okay-ish but it was all a bit chaotic as it was sort of "communey" (Is that even a word?) and uncomfortable as there were no smaller tables. The staff were all vounteers and I think my age gap was showing. Yeah, man.

No, I haven't. I would like to give it a go to see what it is like.

Yes I went to buy a muffin.

When came time to pay for it, was quite shocked!! how much it was.

On eating...was really excited, only to find that I not only had the most tasteless muffin on planet earth, but had been robbed as well!

Now I am prepared to still keep trying, but if I find the same results...then it is :
Goodbye from me.
Goodbye from my wallet.
Yes, even raw food needs something in the way of application and preparation. I agree with you, I would close my wallet and go home and eat a carrot and an apple, if there was that lack of enticement.

I don't think there is one here in Ipswich, though there's a cafe that does some raw food and I've had salad from there. I've also made a raw chocolate and date slice at home. By and large though the concept doesn't appeal to me. I'm not convinced it's healthier so it's not worth the sacrifice of variety and taste.
No. I haven't been.
Yes, our dau is a wanna be try every diet & food style type freakish eater, so we have been around to some wierd food joints we would normaly not stop at.

There was a raw food style cafe near our Asian supermarket, so we were dragged in there, but I did not even try any food, as I refuse to spend half a day wages on a snack, no matter how healthy someone says it is.

When our dau cooks in this fashion, it is the most 'orrid odours coming from the kitchen, and our containers are badly stained afterwards.

The taste is that of old mik and cardboard, but maybe that is the brat not following the reciepe too.
Yes, whenever I know there is a raw food restaurant around, I'll always endeavour to try it out. I particularly love The Raw Kitchen in Fremantle.
