Have you ever been swimming in or under a waterfall?

As the summer temperatures soar, I've been thinking a lot about the places where I've most enjoyed swimming. On a hot sweltering day, nothing really beats a dip under a waterfall...right under the stream of water in smaller falls, or in larger ones where this may not been safe, in the waterholes close by.
Have you ever been swimming in or under a waterfall? If so, where? Where are Australia's best waterfalls for cooling down during the hot summer months?

I've swum in and around several artificial waterfalls, in hotel grounds in Asia, but never swum in a natural one. I've walked to a couple of spectacular waterfalls - one in Wales and one near us here in England - but they are not spots for swimming in! Lovely places to be though :)
Carnarvon, Kondalilla, Springbrook NP's all have waterfalls that swimming in rock pools & under drop of waterfall is available.
It's really refreshing & interesting to be pushed underwater by the power of the waterfall. Non-swimmers' should probably avoid!
Yes, a very small one. It was very relaxing.
No, but I can't really swim so that would be worrisome.
Yes I have -in Darwin -can't remember the name of the place but it was delightful.
Darwin is so hot and humid that being under the waterfall was extra specially nice with the water gushing on.
I also was "under a waterfall" at Niagara Falls"! You get wet while in the boat even though at the time it was rather cold and this time the water was not welcome even though we all had raincoats on!
YES! And it's absolutely breathtaking, beautiful and perfectly peaceful!! I would love to go back to waterfall swimming in India and would love to discover a place in Australia that offers a similar sense of tranquility.
Crystal Cascades, in the rainforested mountains just out of Cairns, is an absolutely beautiful spot as there are a series of small waterfalls which are just perfect for swimming. The Karajini National Park, up in WA's Pilbara region, is also an awesome spot for cooling down under a waterfall.
In Jan 1995, when we were on Lombok, (4hrs by ferry, from Bali,) we walked & walked in the hot sun, then down some stone steps to a lovely waterfall, but the water was freezing, so I just rushed under it, for 2 seconds.
Sure have - its a great experience and i hope to do it again!
