This year, in Australia, the wildflowers are spectacular due to the weather conditions.

Have you ever been on a wildflower tour, and is it something you would like to do?

That is something I have never done - the flowers looked spectacular on television, though it is probably something I would not rush out and do all the same!

My husband and I went to Western Australia for a 'Western Wildflowers ' holiday before we decided to get pregnant. It was a wonderful holiday and we saw a lot of Western Australia and some beautiful flowers. We knew it would be our last hurrah before the children started arriving and we would have no money to travel for a long time. By the time we arrived back from the holiday, I was pregnant.
What a gorgeously romantic memory of when you conceived your first child!! I just LOVE it!!!

I haven't, although my wife and I have hiked to spots where tours are given. We never seem to hit the exact right time of season, most wildflower areas our mountains are in small valleys, the flowers peak for only couple of weeks a year. Each valley has their own week, so timing has to be perfect.
No. It sounds wonderful.

No & No...
Too busy.
No, thats quite interesting. I am not really a flower person but I'll try almost anything once.

I belong to a newly started Melb. based Meetup group called Wildflowers of Melbourne, and we go to different parks/reserves most weekends.
I've only been on one so far.
Not per se, BUT I've been in WA several times' when the windflowers' have been out, & found them both beautiful, & spectacular!
Luv 'em!
My mother took my 2nd eldest daughter some years ago to Western Australia on the Wildflower Tour and they loved it. I haven't done a tour specifically for that but I have spent lots of my youth wandering through the mountains and valleys not far from home enjoying the beautiful wildflowers. Mum was born on the Blue Mountains and spent her years exploring and passing onto us the beauty of them all.
I have ALWAYS wanted to see the Western Australian Wildflowers which I see glorious images of on various news reports and the Gardening Australia program!! They look absolutely spectacular and, being an avid gardener, I know I would get so much enjoyment from such a venture!! We have so many incredibly beautiful and also unusual flowering plants in this huge country of ours, and I have several in my garden up in Tropical North Queensland! Oh yes!!! this would definitely be on my To Do list!!!
I haven't been on one of these tours, but I imagine it would be a lovely thing to do.
