Yes, I have, many years ago in Hong Kong.
I would probably not do it again as I was petrified - the guy weaved in and out of that awful traffic with sometimes just inches to spare from the cars around us, and I thought "my days were numbered" so to speak!
It was not fun, added to which I felt so sorry for the driver having to pull us though he seemed to do it with no effort, but it must be difficult, and it is something I would not want to do again.
At least he got a big tip from us!
No, but I have in Canada, on Vancouver Island. Like Finy, I found it "uncomfortable" emotionally. Our guy was a delight and we gave him a big tip too. He sure was strong - there were three of us and Victoria is very steep in places.
No, I've only been in tuk-tuks. I feel sorry for those boys who have to learn money that way, but a jobs a job, & I'm very sure they're glad to have the money, & I guess they're used to the heat, but the pollution would just be soon unhealthy for them. I hope they all wear masks these days.
Yes,Would never do it again as I felt so guilty letting this poor man pulling us for just a joy ride. There was no joy in the ride and very short ride as well. No amount of a tip could justify the trip.
