Have you ever been in a haunted house?

Some people claim they have been to a haunted house or that their own house has been haunted. There are even tours of haunted houses, jails and old haunted buildings. How many of you have actually been in a haunted place? Where was it? What was it like?

I've been to Drury Theatre, which is apparently London's most haunted theatre. Saw no evidence of it though.
No. I don't believe that there is such a thing. I've been on ghost tours, which are fun and interesting for the historical info but that's all it is. The one in Edinburgh takes you into some of the tunnels under the city which are quite spooky at night. There's a story about a piper who was lost in the tunnels and supposedly can still be heard at night.
That sounds really creepy Jennifer. In places like that it is so hard to not let your imagination run wild and to 'see' things which aren't there.

I think I may have once. There was a weird energy about the place. It was close to the city also.
2 places come to mind.

One was the Tilbury Hotel at Wooloomooloo in Sydney stayed there for a few months, while looking for a unit.
I was in bed, and something walked straight through me! That was 25 years ago.
Second was 5 months ago, my son and his wife had me baby sit their two little ones, as I had many times before. We were in my granddaughters bedroom reading a story, and something invisible seemed to walk past me and it was very very cold.
I was frozen on the spot, wondering 'what was that'!!!!!
My granddaughter asked me why I had stopped reading....I said 'did you feel that cold''? she said no.
I was scared the whole night, as they have a very old house, and big too.
try communicating with them next time, ask what they want. They are just letting you know they are there.

I went on a ghost tour at Port Arthur, Tasmania, I have never been so scared and spent a large part of the tour outside the buildings repeating the Lords Prayer over and over :). I didn't know what was worse .. Being in the buildings or outside alone in the dark ! I didn't see anything but the stories were too scary.
Oh! Aliso, did you not know what you were letting yourself in for?
