Have you ever attended any Oktoberfest festivities or functions?

I was actually in Munich one year when the Oktoberfest was on.

I had good friends there and they took me.

It was an eye opener and I ended up dancing on the table which is very unlike me!

I did have a few drinks -well no, not a few, a few sips of a glass I could hardly lift up it was so heavy.

It was amazing to see how much these people could drink.

It was a very interesting night and hard to imagine how huge this event is in Munich every year.

I have only once been to an event here in Australia but of course it was a let down after having been to the genuine one.

Been to one in Aust but wouldn't be a patch on the real one in Germany...as Finy related...Would be great fun but the thought of drinking down those huge amounts of beer makes me feel sick!

Oktoberfest here in Townsville has always been a massive event as there is a very large German population here who organise the event extremely well indeed!! The food is always so deliicious,though not the healthiest to be eating on a regular basis! I am not a huge drinker at all,so the alcohol did not interest me. The dancing and the fellowship however was delightful!!

It really has no appeal to me.
Could not think of anything worse,
for me to do....I don't like a lot of
people, drinking and noise.

Yes, I went to the Oktoberfest in Munich when I was fifteen. I was too young for beer but I ate in a beer tent. I quite liked the atmosphere.

No. I think they are mostly about beer, and we are not beer drinkers.

No, I haven't ever attended any Oktoberfest celebrations. I also don't like beer, or a lot of noise! I'm also 2 busy going to Melbourne for 1 week in Oct & worrying about which day we'll go & see Sculpture by the Sea (or SxS) so even if there was an Oktoberfest happening in the Shire where I live, I would NOT bother going to it.
