Yes!
And I really love going...not sure which ones, because I have been to so many!
I still go, and it helps support our schools, with money raised.
Great Fun! anyone can go.....
Yes I have.Back in my school days there used to be so many stalls, games and yummy treats.I still remember an aunt who used to sell yummmyyy brownies in her stall.
Far too many years ago for me to mention at my local country school. Loved them they were the highlight of the year and my Mum would make lots of confectionary to sell on the stalls. I should have been sick of them once the fete had come around because of all of the sneaky tastings I took part in but alas that wasn't the case.
When my sons were at school I used to look forward to fete days.
I was always part of the organisation committee, feel a sense of contribution towards the school.
Great atmosphere and community spirit to be experienced.
Always find a sweet treat or some tasty dish.
Think I will visit one of the local fetes in the area as it has been a while since my last school fete.
Yes, I used to go to a lot when I collected old children's books.
I would often find old ones at school fetes and I would get so excited about these finds.
I also just liked looking around at the various things that were there.
I love school fetes! Even though my daughter is now at university, if there's a school or church fete on in my area I'll try my best to visit it. I enjoy discovering local handicrafts and I find that fetes are great spots to pick up lovely ones, often at a very good price.
The last was the school fete of my primary school. What a surprise it seems so much smaller and less excting than when I was there participating as a child. What a wonderful magical day it was at that time. Toffees for 10c, toffee apples and fairy floss, guess the jelly beans in a jar (that I won one year), trash and treasure sale, books stall and so much more. It was a magical day then and a day full of happy memories now.
Over the years I have been to numerous school fetes. When my kids were at school I helped out on stalls. I have bought lots of things from school fetes. The most significant was a kitten. I enjoy buying plants at fetes.
Oh yes, love them. School fete, church fete, car-boot sale, market, garage sale - whatever! If there's one in the area I'll go. Love the 'one-off' crafty things you can get or the second hand books and white elephant 'stuff'. But mostly, for me, it's the home-made cakes and other sweet things. Mmmm, cake...
