They are both disgustingly scary!
But I think fire would be the worst of the two as the heat would be hideous.
Then again, flood etc etc.......
Perhaps a silly question as both are such disasters but somehow heat and fire is a bit more scarey as it is "bigger"!
Roasted or soused. Lord, what a choice. "God gave Noah the rainbow sign: no more water; the fire next time". I am so deathly afraid of water that I might prefer to die by asphixiation in a fire but I have heard that drowning is a pleasant sensation. I have had lots of nightmares about drowning but never about fire - even though I have now had a house fire. Drowning might be quicker. Okay, so fire is the worst.
haha -roasted or soused...yes I agree with you -drowning might be quicker
Meanwhile. Bacon. Hahahahahahahahahaha!
I really could not say, though I err on the side of Fire. I have seen the horrors of flood first hand, and I know someone who lost everything in a fire. Both are totally traumatic nightmares which do such long-term damage to both people and the entire environment affected.
I shiver just to have to think of it while answering this question.
I don't think I can answer this question.
Well, when you put it that way. Obviously what you're thinking is much worse. Am I right?
Hmm. I think fire because it's a more omnipresent danger. Flooding is at least seasonal, fires can happen any time (well, bushfires are seasonal too, but house fires happen whenever).
Fire for me, because the whole house and everything in it can be gone. Floods are just as bad, with items maybe needing replacement, etc, but often the structure remains.
Neither, thank you very much!
People UNDER estimate the power of water, in flood.
Just look at any video of Brisbane River flooding in 1974, or 2011.
Fire, I would have to say. Fire destroys absolutely everything, leaving only charred remains, whereas in a flood, houses are only damaged and can be repaired . I would hate to be burnt to death. I think it would be awful. There is less likelihood of dying in a flood. People climb onto their roofs and are rescued by helicopter or the are rescued from their homes by canoe. I live in a bushfire prone area and every summer is worrisome. We did evacuate one year. If there is a bushfire warning, I don't wait around to see if it will happen or not. It might be too late to leave.
Which is the scariest? Having to face either!
Yours is the right answer, wotsy. (。^_・)ノ
Flood, I've always had a fear of drowning. Something about losing your breath that scares me.
