In the UK, it's recommended that children aged 5 to 18, have at least one hour of exercise a day. Under 5's who can walk by themself are recommended to have 3 hours of activity spread out through the day.
I have two young boys who are under 5 and they definitely do their fair share of exercise. I struggle more to keep them still for any length of time.
