Does the house you live in have a front fence and a gate?

If it does have a gate, do you keep it locked?

My block has two houses on it and I am the front house.

We do not have a front fence or gate.

I have often thought of putting one up however it would be inconvenient when the lawns need mowing.

One of the reasons I would like it is that some people let their dogs poop over the front lawn and do not clean it up and I always get furious -have thought of putting dog plastic bags on a stake outside, but it would look too ugly!

So, no fence at this stage.

We have a very high fence, but no gate across the driveway: it'd be very inconvenient every time we went to drive in.

I would like a white picket fence though, more picturesque and let in more sun :)
Yse! I have a lovely high fence plus a wrought iron gate in front of my home.I can still see what I need to when the circumstances arise, yet I also have decent privacy.
We have a high timber fence with two driveways and a pedestrian gate. Several years ago we found a kit to convert our main gate to an electric one that opens with a remote control. It is sooo very nice not to have to do it manually any more.
We always have a dog, and now the chooks like to explore the front garden we couldn't be without a good fence.
Because this is an older suburb with larger allotments, developers have been destroying the neighbourhood with cheap rental accomodation. Although not very old some parts already look like a slum. Fortunately we can close the gates and pretend it isn't true.
No to all.
Yes we have a solid, high fence and gate. We keep it closed so the dog and the chickens can't get out, but not locked.
When I read your answer, I thought I must have already answered this. Lol.

We have a low metal fence. Not terribly secure, but it keeps the kids in and the wildlife out. We leave the driveway gate open when we are out as it's a pain to have to open and close it all the time.
I live in an apartment block so no gate or fence

We have a low brick fence at the front but there isn't a gate.

No no fence, I live in strata units (14) all ground level. I am at the front and have lawn to the road and overlook a park with trees and fountain...which is actually a lovely outlook.....No no fence

No. Would like one though.

No. We are open to all comers.
There is a low fence with double gates at the front of my house. The gates are always open. It would be pointless to shut them as anyone could just step over them. I am glad I don't have a high solid fence at the front as I like to have coffee out the front, watch birds and say 'hi' to my neighbours when they walk past.
a fence but no gate. fence too low for a gate would have one if it was at possible.
do not like the modern trend of no fences or gates, I think that some councils no not allow them i could be wrong on this point...
Now, no & no.
My first house had both. Had dogs' to keep inside the yard!
Front fence & gate.
Here, it's illegal to have gate locked as property MUST be accessible to 'utility' persons ie to read the meter!
Front fence but a wide open drive entrance. Just in process of installing double wrought iron gates and a single gate alongside with intercom/video system. I don't like the fact that people can be at my front door and knocking at it - I want the security of being able to see who is ringing on the intercom and whether or not I want to let them in. Not when my husband is home but when I am home alone.
No, we don’t have a front fence or gate.
My property is split into different sections. The most private section is a large front courtyard which is fenced off with a metal gate which I lock in the evening. Palm trees surround the rest of the property and there is a long driveway up the side of the house to the workshop/ garage.
