Has there ever been a song that you really like, but now can't stand simply because it gets repeated on the radio so often?

Once I was seven years old, and it was ok
But now I am wired for sound, and nothing compares
Perhaps I am just a daydream believer
Sometimes I love a song so much I hit repeat and play the same thing for a whole journey. Eventually I get to know the words and sometimes sing along, but only when I'm in the car alone, I wouldn't want to torture the passengers.
This has happened to me with the song 7 Years. The first time I heard it, I really liked it, but now I absolutely loathe it because I hear it at work on the radio about four or five times a day and it drives me crazy. Justin Bieber's Love Yourself is also repeated continuously throughout the day and it is stuck in my head giving me a headache. I don't know why radio stations repeat the same song so frequently.
It definitely can. I get really sick of hearing songs over and over, which can be a problem if it's something that's played all over the place in shops etc.
Yes! this can happen, I would be hard pressed to find someone who 'could ' listen over and over and over and over to the same song.

It will just become a noise in the end, but! how long is that end, is interesting.

For me maybe if I heard it a lot each day for a week, then that would and could make me never want to hear it again.

It's like eating the food you love, and every other meal after...repetitive is not something to embrace.

The love or great like is found in something new, that reaches us is a different way.

Repeated over & over again, will only make it common.
Nothing new, just the same thing again and again....No fun in that at all.
I have had songs ruined by too much play on the radio, although I can't think of what they are at the moment!
Too much of anything is no good
It can do. I suppose it depends on the song. It certainly gets annoying and grates on you after a while. I know I have been on road trips and was hearing the same song every hour, which got annoying. You kind of want a bit more variety.
Definitely turns me right off the song.
This happened to me with 'Titanic' theme, & 'Cavatina'.
Can't stand either!

I think it depends. There are some songs that I have listened to at least one hundred times and I still love them.

No, if it is a song I enjoy I can hear it again and again.
But then we were spoilt in the 60's for great songs and many are played again and again on some radio channels.
Yes Steve Daydream Believer a great song.
Like Farley,I didn't mind how many times I hear the songs from the '60's! But we never listen to the radio, so I don't hear the same songs over & over, except on my iPod, while I used to walk on my own. But that doesn't happen now, because I've misplaced my iPod charger, so I only go walking if my friend is also going to be walking with me!
