I do yawn when I am tired but not bored. I also yawn when I think about yawning. Like when I saw this question.
I don't think I do -the other day I started yawning and could not stop -i was neither bored or tired! Had a friend here.

Not sure why we actually yawn?

I know dogs do it when they do not want to do what they are being told and mine do it often.

I believe I yawn more when I'm tired.
I don't very often yawn.

Keeping busy helps me, but if I was very tired then that is a the time I may.

All I know is if you yawn around me, cover your Mouth, because I do not want to see inside your mouth...............Yuck.

I don't tend to yawn that much. When I do it is usually when I am tired, or if someone else is yawning. Ever noticed how it seems to be contagious? Yawning is triggered by lower oxygen and this disparity is fixed by the yawn or gasp of air to increase oxygen levels. This has the effect of increasing alertness.
I am not all that aware of yawning a great deal, except when it's later at night than I am used to and I have visitors who I wish would go home!!!!
I have always found that yawning, like scratching an itch,is very contagious, and we even wrote a skit about these very things when I was at Art School!!! HILARIOUS!!!The entire audience was yawning AND scratching!!! I have also heard that yawning is a way to quickly get more oxygen when it is needed.
I do yawn a lot when I am tired. I don't think I yawn when bored.
Yes, all the time, I know that I'm bored or tired as soon as I start yawning. I
