Gone are these days for me!
I have not worn high heels for at least 15 years as have a back problem.
As I have got older, I am more concerned with aches and pains than wearing high heels.
I love the look of these, however would not risk damaging my back further by wearing them.
I still have two pairs in my cupboard which are evening shoes however, doubt if I could ever wear them even though they are not high -since having a crushed vertebrae, even a small heel throws my back out.
I own one pair of high heels (although not as high as those in the picture!!) and I can't remember the last time I wore them!! My boots do have a heel on them and I do wear them a bit, but I don't really consider them to be "High heels". Having 2 small children that I need to carry or run after high heels are never going to work for me!!
I am yet another who used to wear heels, but no longer does so!! I found out from a brilliant Chinese doctor in the 70's,fortunately sooner than later, the damage which these can do to the hips and pelvis in relation to childbirth, and although only in my late teens/early 20's,I knew I would be wanting to have a family some day,so I took his advice and only wore slight heels or pretty flats from then on,or very pretty, high heels if I knew I would be sitting all through whatever event I was attending! I still have my stunning beaded heels from the 80's which were worn for dinner functions and I have kept them only because they are SOOOO pretty and the work which went into decorating them is so amazing! I only ever wore them 2 or 3 times,so they make a lovely display prop!!!
I knew before I even read this question what the answer would be as the dynamic of this web site is us women that can't wear these HIGH HEELS anymore Fazee
I do wear high heels if I am going somewhere very fancy. I don't wear the ultra high ones my daughter wears though. Stilettos with a nice dress 👗 at a 5 star establishment. I bring flats if I have pwe went on our cruise I wore them every night as was 5 star luxury. Other occasions may be fancy but I do not wear the stilettos for theatre shows, dinners or concerts.... Just high heels.
These very high heels where usually worn by prostitutes. Not sure when they became mainstrem. I do not like them, I have noo need to fight with gravity so I leave these alone. I like the shorter heels with a wider base.
