My husband is just like you and doesn't like socks that cut in, especially whilst he is at work. It doesn't matter so much for day to day, but at work when he is on his feet, running for 10 hours, he needs comfy socks that don't cut in !!!
Your llama fleece socks sound simply exquisitely cosy and I do hope that you can always manage to have some of these. I recall you mentioning about your llamas and their fleeces, so is it time to knit some more of your treasures?!!!
I have had a lot of funny socks and bright coloured socks but at present I have black, black and black. I have just purchased some camel coloured alpaca wool socks but they have not been worn yet. It's easier to have all socks that match up . . . or I could be getting old and lazy. LOL
My neighbour's wonderful son deliberately wears ODD socks every day, using such great logic which is the precinct of the young, that this way he NEVER has to worry about which socks go with which!! One of my delightful Hyperbaric Unit nurses also loves to wear odd socks and hers are always brightly coloured and really cheerful! She gets smiles from this action each and every day.Like myself, she believes that happy feet do mean happy disposition!!
I don't wear socks at all. I haven't worn socks since I was a child. I think it must be mind over matter or something, because I just don't need them. I certainly don't need them inside the house, as it is toasty warm now we have the new heater.
I don't wear sox with my Sketchers, & I wear the Sketchers with my cotton summer floral dresses, that I wear all year round, when I leave the house.
On the cold winter days, I wear my thick black cotton sox, with black leggings, & short black boots, so I couldn't wear patterned sox with my floral dresses!
I am not sure I am game to count my Skechers.. !! I have lace ups and slip ons and clog type ones (with no back).. I have old ones for my Pottery and new ones for smart casual... I am such a tragic ... but you are right, they are just so comfortable.
Firstly: I am horrified that your neighbour does not fold her son's socks for him, which is the unwritten issue here - laziness. Secondly: bravo to him for wearing odd socks.Yay! Thirdly: the last time I visited my daughter she had odd SHOES on!! They were fantastic. . . . totally the same but different. I raised a quirky one. Surprise, surprise.
How many pairs of Skechers do you have, BritishStorm? I have 5 pairs. On a south pacific cruise, 2 years ago, we called into a Hawaiian port we haven't visited before, & they had a Skechers DFO shop! It was huge! During the following days, 3/4 of the people on board were suddenly wearing...Sketchers!!! They're sooo lovely to wear, aren't they?
Plain socks every time. I wear colour and pattern elsewhere about my body and keep my socks plain, black when wearing trousers and white if wearing sneakers and a skirt or dress. I always buy loose top socks so they don't cut in.
