Do you watch TV with your children?

Sometimes. They watch some kids' shows on their own at times while I do housework but other times we watch certain shows together so we can talk about them.

I like watching Disney Pixar films with my kids. We snuggle up after an active day and there are usually some jokes for adults too.

Yes - Disney Pixar can be really fun and have some jokes that go over little heads!

I will often watch them with my son - especially since I saw Peg and Cat stuff hundreds of little chickens into a very small crate and call it "solving a problem". Some of the ideas kids' shows promote are worrying.

I don't have children, but I helped raise my brother, there are fourteen years between us. I always watched TV with him. I used to love watching movies with him too, even though he watched the same movies over and over again.

If my daughter is watching something for the first time I try to ensure that I am at least present - maybe reading a book or working, but there so that I can monitor what the movie / TV show is about and ensure that it is appropriate. If it is something that she has watched 5 million times (like Frozen...) then I will often let her watch on her own.. I really enjoy watching movies with my little girl - but I also enjoy the hour that I get to work while she is distracted!

We have a son, daughter and twin grandsons, and yes we watch TV with them all. Sports with the son, Home and away with the daughter and Pepper Pig, Play school and Thpmas the tank engine with the twins . Just to name a few.

Mostly I watch with him. Though I might not be paying full attention when it is Cars 2 for the twenty billionth time.... and sometimes I sit in the same room but not watching. Generally we're both happiest when together if we're in the same room but not necessarily doing the same thing. This has been the case since he was tiny - quite independent in terms of what he's doing but likes having my company :)

I have one daughter, she is just 2 years old but if i have older kids i will watch TV with them...

I use to let them watch alone, as I knew what it was.Plus I would end up brain dead...if I watched all their show's....lol.
It was the norm, and I would be in the kitchen cooking or hanging out washing.
All the things my Mum use to do!
If a good movie at night of a weekend was on, we as a family would watch it.
Pretty simple.

That was over 30 years ago, so I miss that.
