I would probably use a lemon almost every week or every two weeks.
It is about the only food i hate to buy for some unknown reason, but I have had to buy them sometimes.
At the moment I have heaps that a friend gave me and of course now I havent used them for over a week!
I last used one when I made a fish dish (red salmon) - lemon can add a really nice flavour to a lot of things.
I often use lemon or lime on my food. Not so much that it stands out but enough to give it that extra flavour layer. I do not add salt when cooking and find that I depend on a little lemon/ lemon rind to make my dishes sing. I use a little ginger , garlic or chilli the same way.
I use a slice of lemon in my little g&t each evening, & lemon juice in my salmon fillet recipes if required. My eldest daughter has always drunk a glass of lemon juice & water 1/2hr before her breakfast. Unfortunately, we don't have a lemon tree, but 1 of our daughters in Melbourne has a big enough tree in her partners backyard, which fruits big lemons all year round! A friend of mine sometimes squeezes her lemons if she has to many of them & puts the juice into ice trays, then into snack packs for when needed in the future.
Hi Miro, RE dresses. Wow, I would love to see a picture of the combo you wore to the wedding. I'm not good at visualising. I like the idea of light summer dresses; just not very practical for me at the moment with children around my feet.
