Do you use hot, cold or medium water to wash clothes?

I used to use cold water till I got a Miele washing machine and they told me that clothes still get cleaner if washed in warm or hot water.

I have the option of about 5 temperatures on my machine and usually for everyday washing, I use the lowest which is I think, 30°, and for the dog bedding I used about 60°.

I use cold for everyday clothing in summer and hot for towels and hand towels.
As for the dog…..doesn't even get a look-in in my washing machine. I can't believe that.

I use cold water for a lot of fhings but definitely use hot for the dog bedding!!

I only use Cold Water Wash.

Saves on electricity, and money.

I am a true believer that clothes or anything
washed in warm or hot water DO wash cleaner.

If I could use Warm, I would....but not happy to use Hot.
Only maybe with linen.Not clothes...I am worried about
them shrinking.

Exactly. I do the same. My dogs have their own machine and their bedding is cold washed purely because it is outside and only connected to the garden tap. I always do a full wash and two vinegar rinses for them though.

depends on what I am washing , I do think that hot is best. but rarely use it. as this setting takes longer to do the wash,

Cold for all clothes, bedding, towels etc.
Hot for saddle blankets.

Always cold. We actually had the hot water tap removed from the laundry, so you can only use cold in the machine. Occasionally, for a few select items, I will hand-wash them in lukewarm water, but I never use hot.

Always machine wash with cold water but warm hand wash items that require washing that way.

Always cold unless the clothes are really filthy.
Then it's a hot wash followed by a cold wash if needed

It's always been a cold machine wash. The odd hand wash I do, is in hot water of cause, & if I have to soak cloths with strains, I also do that in a bucket of hot water.
