I have not bought many apricots this year due to the outrageous prices which have not come down in Perth at all!
They were still about $14 a kilo today which is the same as they have been for a long time. Cheaper ones are horrible.
I do use them in cooking particularly an Austrian dish I make with dought round the whole apricot and you put sugar and butter inside when cooked.
I also make one of my mother's recipes -an apricot fake -delicious but this year I have not cooked with fresh apricots.
I have also made apricot jam out of dried apricots, so they are quite a versatile fruit.
