I always do.

I am very conscious of saving electricity for some reason as am not conscious of saving on anything else!

I think it is possibly since I had solar panels put on the roof as my electricity was always high than my friends who had bigger families.

So, yes I turn off 90% of all switches, though some are off most of the time anyway.

Yes! Even if items are left on stand-by they can still draw power. The first time I started doing this several years ago, my power bill dropped significantly.
Not always unfortunately

No I don't. I only ever turn off all switches when we go on holiday.

I will be from now on.
LOL apparently it can save a lot but in a motor home they are not so large so may not make much difference.
by Finy
we are not in motor home.

but a mobile home(same as a normal home) but can be moved. :)
by jonaja
oh, sorry mate! in that case you probably could save! do you ever move the home?
by Finy
the homes can be moved, but ours is inside a park so it is there for good.I own it though, I just pay site fees, for the land. It's just like a real house. I'm already turning off power now :) I'm a good girl!

I don't but my husband always does. I really need to be more conscious about this.
No, I don't.
Don't PULL OUT plugs from walls, but items not being used overnight are switched off!
Only three left permanently going are 'fridge, telephone & hot water system. Although don't know why I don't switch off the latter as in climate now, the 'cold' water comes through as 'tepid', don't need hot water at all!

Switch off lights as I go out of each room. This, my parents' trained me to do! Switch off power point of washing machine, dryer & Elna Press soon as finished with, as well.
P.S. I don't switch off TV/VCR/set top box power points, or I'd have to re-programme them every day! And THAT would annoy me to the nth degree, as I've three, two of which were left to me, when kids 'flew the coop'!

I turn them off for safety one hears of so many house fires caused by switches left on , I also turn them off during the day if going out shopping etc.
I don't switch off the DVD or TV as it woukd need to be programed again. I do switch off powerpoints for kettle and washing machine but am forever nagging husband to do the same, even lights he doesn't flick off. So annoying.
No as I feel it does not warrant it especially some items have to be re-set or programmed.
Kettles and the such yes they are switched off as are ceiling fans.
Yes, I do, every little bit helps, and when we go away at New Years, I even switch off the radio alarm and the radio in the kitchen.
