Some people have a cleaning fetish and are continually sweeping or cleaning their kitchen floor. It is said you can eat off their floors.

The kitchen is probably one of the rooms that gets dirty more readily than other rooms.

How often do you sweep your kitchen area?
Or do you have another area that you sweep more often than others?

The kitchen and dry area of bathroom, I vacuum it daily
I vacuum once a week. Perhaps that's not often enough for some, but I'm not too bothered with housework. Besides, the house isn't a stye so there's really no point for more frequent cleaning.

Maybe 2-3 times a week - the kitchen. It depends on how many times I cook during that week. The rest of the house, once a week. I am not too concerned with cleaning. I would't live in a totally dirty house, but I cannot clean like a maniac. There are more important things in life.
No way! Have much better things on my daily "to do" list! Life's too short!
Yes. It needs it.
Unless something is spilled, the kitchen floor gets swept/wiped as often as the rest of the house, which is once a week, when our cleaner comes in.
I vacuum all the time, never use a broom...they cause dust.
I mop my floors with 'metho', it seems to get all traces of dirt up.
Yes, I do sweep the kitchen floor daily. I am not a clean freak by any means, but with three little kids to drop things on the floor, well, it can sometimes look dirty within an hour of sweeping.
Having asked this question, possibly out of guilt, I would only do mine once a week as I have a problem sweeping/vacuuming due to an accident.
Very interesting replies and I agree with Mihaela about there are more important things in life however if I am having visitors I will go around and sweep the dirty bits -I think without children it stays so much cleaner.

I have a four-legged furry automatic vacuum cleaner who can hear anything that may drop on the floor and before I know it's it's gone. Apart from her, we vacuum and wash the floor weekly.

Fifi -she only picks up food though!

Most definitely. I detest a dirty kitchen. As a chef its ingrained in me to keep my kitchen clean.

Hell No. waste of time. do it when necessary, Housework way down the list these days… too busy being retired! woo hoo...
Gets done when cleaner is here. Same as rest of house.

Was made to clean family home from when I was a kid to my mid 20's, so consequently is my greatest hate!

I sweep the kitchen floor twice a week, & sad to say, I never vacuum! there’s 2 much mess in the house, to get the vacuum around! Naughty me!
