I do not drink alcohol.

I used to drink sometimes but it did not agree with me in that it put me to sleep fairly quickly.

However I did not sleep well if I had had a drink or two.

Alcohol hates me. Suits me fine. If I have any that doesn't make me sick, I am liable to be up all night emptying my bladder so definitely no help sleeping.

I sleep faster not well. I find I get drowsy very easily after a few drinks but I find that I get more interrupted sleep. I will wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. So, although I get to bed easily it kinda defeats the purpose because I will wake up three or four hours later and can't get back to sleep again
I have never been given to alcohol so I really cant say.
I don't drink now.
When I did many moons ago, I did sleep a tad better :)
Drinking does not affect how I sleep at all. Certainly not one or two drinks !! That's nothing. I can sleep pretty well so one drink won't change that for me.
I don't drink alcohol so I cannot say!!! Well, that was short and sweet,eh?!!
Only if it's red wine. Fruit-based wines make for an alternative sleeping pills and they usually do not give you hangovers.

I have a different experience with beer and vodka. I have to consume more than two bottles to feel groggy and even if I do fall asleep instantly, the quality of my sleep isn't as good as when I drink red wine.

I guess wine and commercial alcoholic beverages differ in that respect.
I retire late, nearly every night.
I've a small wine glass, or two, with Dinner, whatever grape variety I feel like with the meal, usually a beautiful Aussie Vintaged Red, & a 'Grange' on REALLY special occasions! Lol!

So the wine intake doesn't affect my sleep habit, or ability to quickly go to the 'Land of Nod'.............
i sleep well every night.I only have I small g&t a night. If I happen to forget to have my g&t, I still sleep well!
I imagine that I would sleep a tad better. I haven't had a drink at night for a while...perhaps I will for Easter.

Yes I do sleep better with a wine or two. Can't drink red wine as i seem to get itchy, allergic.
it is pretty well known in nursing homes that a sherry before bed time with the aged population works wonders.
No I do not. I toss and turn and cant settle
Alcohol is a depressant and many drinks disturbed the normal functioning of brain cells. It affects melatonin secretion which helps you to sleep under normal circumstances. Just one drink may help to relax and sleep Dr Harold
Makes no difference to me with sleep apnea.
I only have 1 small G&T at night, & 2 glasses of champagne on NY'sE, & yes, I do sleep well, even if I forget to have my 1 G&T!
