Generally speaking, scratching an itch will only make it worse, so the advice is not to scratch. Do you follow this advice or do you give in to the urge and scratch scratch scratch?

50-50 on this one, a little scratch, then I put some saliva on it.

That fixes it up quick smart, no matter what.
I put a fair bit of the saliva, so it covers well.
Nature takes care.
It depends, if scratching will cause bleeding then I hit it with some vinegar. If it will not, I will scratch like a cat.

I have high levels of histamine in my blood, so I often get random itches and I used to scratch at them furiously but found that this made the itching worse and damaged my skin. Now I carry a tube of "magic green ointment" with me everywhere and slap that on as soon as I start itching. The only scratching I allow myself now is last thing at night before going to sleep, when I scratch between my shoulder blades with a back scratcher. This is a wonderful sensation and a great relief as I can't reach there otherwise!
I get eczema on the soles of my feet, it's TORTURE if you scratch and TORTURE if you don't. Heaven help me as Summer approaches.
Oh yes, soles of feet itching is horrendous. I once scratched mine with a hairbrush as nothing else made it feel better and I ended up with bleeding feet....
Does aloe vera gel help you at all?
No, I generally cannot resist this!

Have really bad skin now due to sunbaKING ALL WEEKEND as a teenager, and I do itch most things I get.

Hard to resist doing this.

I know it makes it worse, however it is something that I seem to have no control over and catch myself doing it without even thinking!

No, I don't try to resist this temptation unless I know I'm going to end up bruising off skin.
Nope and now I'm itchy just from reading this, aha
