Yes.. there is something about the combination of warm toast and melted butter that I can't get around. On the odd occasion that I'm in the mood for peanut butter on top of that, I'll put it on. I don't eat it often enough to worry about all the fat!
No, it's not needed, in my opinion. The peanut butter has enough fat in it, butter isn't needed. Unless you're trying to put on weight, of course. I don't think many of us are trying to do that though, are we? Haha!
A big huge Yummy YES!!!! I also eat peanut butter from a spoon, and even put a dob of butter deep inside the peanut butter there as well!!! Peanut butter and butter are like Siamese Twins, and joined always!! It cannot be Margarine ever,ONLY PURE BUTTER!!!
First of all, it tastes fantastic.
Secondly, I enjoy the mouth feel so much more when there is butter than when there is none.
And thirdly, fat is not the problem people think it is, it's sugar that causes weight gain. No sugar in butter and depending on your brand of peanut butter, no sugar there either.... and there's no "butter" in peanut butter, the name is misleading, so it's not duplicating the butter to have both!
Yep, If I have peanut butter on bread I have to have a least a little butter underneath. I know peanut butter is oily, but I always considered it a "dry" texture on its own. A little butter helps it along a bit.
No, no butter 1st, but sometimes I'll put sultanas, jam, or dates on top or cheese underneath! (Yes I know, more fat!) Also pp is lovely in celery sticks. I wish I didn't like pp, (crunchy of cause! I wonder how many calories I've put on, while eating this brown poo looking yummy spread!)
