I don,t do a lot of housework so do not spend a certain amount of time each week doing it. I have a cleaner every two weeks and she spends about two hours but does not dust or anything just does the main floors, vacuuming etc.
Unfortunately, the weekends tend to be our designated time for house chores. Which in many ways is a good thing as it pushes us to clean faster as we certainly don't want to be wasting precious down time on house chores. We do try and maintain tidiness and cleanliness on a daily basis so it's not such a daunting task come the weekend.
I don't really count a number of hours, but there are particular times when I do particular jobs. For example, I tend to do the floors while the kids are at soccer so they will have time to dry after I mop. I'm not sure how long I spend on it in total since it's broken up into lots of little chunks.
I clean as much as it is needed, and maybe even a tad more....I love a clean house.
If I am not well, then it must wait till I'm ok.
I think we all have our own way how much we clean, and how we design that into each week.No hard and fast rules......
I like a house to looked lived in, but clean.
Now there are just the 2 of us (+ clean live inside cat), I do less -we enjoy seeing the outside world.
I found a wonderful card in a shop, and sent one to my 2 best friends. It had a glamouris? woman on the front, with the words 'MY IDEA OF HOUSEWORK IS TO SWEEP IT AWAY WITH A GLANCE.. Just wonderful.
