I like promite (....read this in your head in a really little quiet shy voice)......
Huzzah!! I resemble that remark :-)))
Cheesybite! This is the only form I will even go near vegimite! Cheese makes everything taste good!
Vegemite. No other competition comes cloae
I can only have the Cheesybite now due to having irritable bowel syndrome and the real product is too strong for my stomach to handle. If not for cheesybite, I wouldn't be able to have any form of vegemite at all.
I've never had Cheesybite as it just doesn't appeal to me. Vegemite hands down.
I stay clear of Kraft now because it is a huge american multinational ( owned by a tobacco company?) - nothing wrong with Dick smith alternative OZemite!
Yet again Norma . . . ! :-))
I prefer standard Vegemite.
vegemite, have not tasted cheesybite it really does not appeal to me. perhaps its the name.
I've never had cheesybite but absolutely love Marmite which is the British equivalent of vegemite
I have tried Cheesybite but prefer Vegemite. I think I am a little bit addicted to Vegemite. When I was a child one of my favourite snacks was Sao crackers with butter (yes the real stuff) and Vegemite. I love Vegemite with toast or Weetbix (dry, not with milk, in case you were wondering).
Vegemite with Weetbix. Wow. What gave you the idea to try that?
I have eaten Vegemite with dry Weetbix (and a bit of butter) for so long I don't remember when I first tried it .Is it an unusual thing to do? Do other people substitute a dry weetbix for a cracker? I also eat Weetbix and cheese.
Sadly, I've never had either.
I prefer VEGEMITE, & eat it eat it every day, usually on toast, but sometimes on a Sao or Rice Cracker with cheese, or on Wheatbix with butter. A friend told me how great Cheesybite was, so I bought a jar of it, but couldn’t make myself open the jar to taste it. It sat at the back of the stove for years, then I had to throw it out, as it was way past the use by date! I do like Promite & I’ve eaten Mamite at my daughter’s house. She buys that 1, because it has less salt in it for our little granddaughters, but when the factory fell down in the earthquake, in Christchurch, NZ, & there was no more left on the supermarket shelves for a couple of years, they had to eat Vegimite. I haven’t tried Ozemite, only because it’s always dearer than Vegimite. I used to buy the 910g jar then when they stopped making that 1, the 600g 1, but now I can only find the 455g or smaller amounts, on some supermarket shelves.
Neither - I think this stuff tastes disgusting.
Neither -----I like Promite as it SEEMS to be not quite so salty.
I've never heard of it. Will have to check it out.
I mean to my taste Vee, if anything Promite seems like a "sweeter" taste like as if the Promite has a caramel flavouring to it, if you know what I mean.
2nd. reply Vee, just got my brain into gear. Do you mean you have never heard of Promite ?
