You may not have it over there . . .but one of my favourite things is a tomato sandwich made with Vogel's bread with a smidge of salt and pepper . . .mmmm mmmm. (In fact, now that I am thinking about it, I am not sure when I last saw Vogel's bread here.) My sister almost lived on it in the 60s and 70s. LOL
I actually prefer cooked tomatoes and pending the texture of the raw tomato will actually leave them to the side of a plate. If I do eat tomatoes it's in the guise of sugo (passata). Otherwise I will BBQ or grill or panfry the tomato cherries or pieces. I find cooking them brings out a sweetness you wouldn't normally get with the raw version.
I prefer tomatoes raw. I like them in salads, tomato sandwiches, and tomato on crackers with salt and pepper. I will have tomatoes cooked, when I make my own pasta sauce. I don't like grilled or roasted tomatoes much.
I like tomatos and will eat them almost any way, (don't like tinned tomato soup) sliced on toast for breakfast or on a piece pf rye bread, yum, as a fruit is good too, another fruit that is easy to carry and eat anytime.
I like them raw and cooked. It really depends on the dish.
If I'm having a salad it would be weird to not have tomatoes in it, but if i'm having a fry up then its grilled or fried tomatoes all the way.
I especially love cooked cherry tomatoes
We eat theTress tomatoes. They have a wonderful perfume. We fins, if they for;t have a smell, we don't buy them! For those 1 or 2 out there who may not know what a Tress tomato is, they are the ones that are sold on little 'branches' if that makes sense, & I only use Australian tin tomatoes in my cooking.
