Do you prefer standard roses or ordinary roses?

I have ordinary bush roses here at home. I had a couple of standard roses along the driveway and I can't remember what happened to those. They were beautiful orange ones too, not the usual white ones that EVERYONE plants. I wanted to be different and they did look quite striking. I like any kind of rose. They are my favourite flower.

i PREFER STANDARD ROSES AS THEY ARE TIDIER SOMEHOW AND YOU CAN MAKE THEM THE SHAPE YOU WANT.

I have just planted two of these and picked ones with nice scent. Looking forward to the flowers.

Love, love, LOVE roses. They have to be fragrant as I don't plant any that I can't smell. I suppose they remind me of England and childhood memories. We always had roses.

All my roses are standard. Love the colours but have only a couple of the perfumed ones. A couple of my bushes I've had since the early 70's and they are still going strong. My orange one looks like a small cabbage when it blooms.

i pick my roses by fragrance, i have no preference either way between bush and standard, as long as they smell lovely.

I also have never grown roses, & I didn't know there was a standard & ordinary rose. I thought thay were just fragrant or non fragrant roses!

I did not know that there is a difference! LOL I'm allergic to roses, although I do love the look of them. Yellow roses are my favourites.
