Do you prefer plastic or wooden spoons for cooking?

Wooden spoons like my mum and nan before me. My mum's wooden spoon is a very strange shape now having been worn away by decades of baking. I expect it will outlive her albeit in a diminished form and I shall take and save it forever.

I've made a point of ridding my kitchen of all things plastic. (See 'My No-plastic Kitchen' on Self Avenue.) There's something special about using natural materials.

Im not a fan of plastics. i rather metal or wooden utensils. What I do like is a silicone baking mat and a heat resistant spatula.

wooden spoon for some things, melamine (cannot find this in the shops anymore ) and a silver dessertpoon my mother and her mother used for cooking (well worn) this is the best, although cannot use this is some modern pans.
