Do you prefer flat leafed or ordinary parsley?

I have the curly leafed one, so that is the only one I have ever used.
I do not even know if they taste any different but guess they must.
Not quite sure why a recipe would specifically state one or the other?
But, it grows SO easily and each year springs up again....love it.

I prefer the ordinary parsley and I love to grow it with mint and pick a bit of each to chew on. Yum.

I usually plant Spearmint as I find it milder. (should have clarified that. oops.)

But then again I've been eating it since a child, so too, with parsley, as was grown at home!

Me too. I am surprised some people find mint hot- but I have chewed it since very small child and never thought about it. I do remember my grandmother being amazed I could eat her hot cough lollies. Maybe I am tough.

The flat leaf is supposed to be more flavourful. Parsley is something I rarely use.

Flat leaf. I grow lots of it. I prefer the texture.

I like flat parsley, it seems to feel better in my mouth,than the other which feels like I'm eating Grass!...Plus flat has a lovely fresh taste :)

I usuall grow curly parsley and like it. This year I have lots of flat leafed parsley coming up, so I will be able to do a comparison. I think flat would be easier to wash. I know my sister prefers flat , and she's an excellent cook.

FLAT. It has a nicer taste than the curly one which I think tastes a bit like grass, erk! I have it in the garden & it self-seeds & pops up here& there but it isn't invasive. Love it.

I grow both varieties .I far prefer the flat leaf Italian parsley to the curly one.I find the curly one can be more bitter.

I dont really mind so long as it tastes nice. The ordinary leaf parsley looks nice as a garnish the other is easy to chop up and eat.

I prefer curly parsley but will eat the flat leaf type. I even grew flat leaf parsley a couple of years ago but then decided not to bother as I do prefer curly.

I like the italian parsley, for me it has the best flavour, but overall I just love the smell of parsley in general.

I have used parsley as a garnish, either one is fine with me. No preference.
