Based on situations but in general I prefer cash to avoid over spending or debt. If I don't have the money on hand, I simply don't get to buy.
Love credit since it gives me the liberty of acquiring anything, anytime within reason without having to wait for payday. As long as I keep tabs on my expenses and pay off my credit bill on time, there is no adverse effect.

I like credit because of the following reasons:
1. I can shop online
2. It keeps track of my expenses
3. It is safer to carry in comparison to cash
4. I can think twice before buying something as opposed to carrying cash. With cash, I feel I spend more easily. So credit actually allows me to be frugal.
5. Convenience when traveling overseas.
Cash wins. Cash is king. A credit card is great if you have the cash available to spend. My frequent flyers now enables me to pay for goods (just like a credit card) with my own money loaded, and earn points on these purchases, as you would a credit card. Cash means freedom.
I use a credit card (to get points) but pay it off each month. I like to have cash on me in case...
I much prefer credit as then I don't need to carry cash around.
I also get frequent flyer points when using credit, so I find this much easier, and then I only have to pay one account online every month.

Cash. I don't have a credit card. I DID have a 2 credit cards, but the small purchases add up too quickly. I paid off the cards, cut them up, and now if I don't have the cash to buy something then I don't buy it. It's surprising how often I really want something, don't have the cash, don't buy it, then lose interest in it. Imagine if I still had cards! I'd be surrounded by 'things' that aren't important, AND, not have any savings.

I definitely prefer using cash, and don't use a credit card at all. My husband has one, so if I need to purchase something online or using a card I'll just use his.
Definitely cash.
