Do you polish your shoes regularly, or just wear them as they are until they wear out completely and need to be replaced?

I typically don't wear shoes that require polishing. I do have one pair but since I wear them so infrequently, I don't worry about polishing them.
I like to have clean shoes/footwear and polish the leather ones often, spray water repellant on the suede ones and have heels repaired when necessary, cheaper than buying new shoes. NOTHING looks worse that someone beautifully dressed up and dirty footwear!
Yes, I do polish them, but no so often as I have so many pairs of shoes that I wear different ones often.
I seem to have had a fetish for shoes, and do not quite know why I have so many.

They never seem to wear out or even out date, so I have them all for years.

I have had a pair of Doc Martin boots for 23 years and they have not needed heeling despite wearing them daily for several seasons, however, they need regular polishing and green is a hard polish to get

I look after my son's 'dress shoes', but today people wear shoes that really (other from men's shoes), don't need to be polished.
I wear canvas shoes or sneakers which don't need polishing!
I polish my black boots and I imagine I'll polish my Doc Martins when they need it.

Yes I do, keeps the leather nice and supple and keeps them looking good.
I wear work boots every day.. When I went to a wedding I had no polish so I used window keen an it worked a treat
my husband is very particular with polishing his shoes everyday and he polishes mine too everyday.
Can't abide dirty shoes! Just plain laziness to NOT clean, yuck!

In Army, my Boots GP were polished to 'mirror' finish. Often complimented by CO for boot cleanliness, at Inspection!

I just CANNOT wear dirty shoes or boots. My dress pair of tan RM's are 35 yo & still look brand new, except for wear creases from my foot!
There is nothing worse than seeing either male or female impeccably dressed and then looking down at their feet to see dirty shoes and often worn heels. It's a lazy habit and spoils the look one sets out to achieve, so yes, my shoes are polished, my sneaker brushed or wiped over with a damp cloth so they last a long time. I really enjoy seeing a man with shiny shoes/boots. Shows he takes pride in his appearance.
