I am wearing black top today and black probably suits me though I seem to wear it less now that I am older.

I used to wear black a lot but not wear it mainly as a top or I have a few black skirts and can team both of these with brighter colours.

I prefer bright colours but often get disparaging comments; the world (in my age group) has become drab.

For a long while I gave into that. I wore black suits and later in jobs where casual clothes were Ok I wore black slacks and black tops.

But no more, I'm old enough to rebel now and I darn well intend to. I bought this beautiful pink after fives dress at an op shop.
You look lovely in the pic, that is one of my fav colours too! :)

Even when I was young I was not overly keen on Black.I love colour in every aspect of my life and people actually comment so nicely about it! I do own one pair of dressy black pants which I will always wear with something bright .
Of course I wear black - I'm a Melbournian! :) However I don't like to be in all black. Black pants or skirt and a coloured top with nice jewellery and either black shoes or if possible a matching colour to the top I'm wearing.
I used to wear black only for funerals but recently I bought a pair of black trousers to go with some VERY BRIGHT tops I have. On the whole, I prefer bright colours and pretty patterns and avoid dark clothes.
I like black, it go's with everything!
Makes you look slimmer.
Have a fair amount of it in my wardrobe, and also some very plain bright tops.
Yes but trying not to wear black as much as previously.
I do love black dresses (as in pic) but I wouldn't wear these particular ones now being older, would look for more conservative ones (how boring I have become you might say!)

Yes - I wear a lot black

I don't really care what suits my colouring but I rarely wear black. I used to have to for work and I got tired of it. I prefer bright colours.
I don't wear a huge amount of black these days. I still have all my black pants and skirts from when I worked in an office. When I start running classes I will wear black pants with a bright top.
Mostly black.
Have many black slacks & culottes, as they my 'de rigeur' wear to the Theatre. Can wear various coloured tops & jackets & outfit always looks good! Usually wear comfy boots!
At my age, comfort is my #1 priority!
I dress for comfort usually; however, glam up on occasion - full length and all the trimmings, including black with beads and sequins! Otherwise ... jewel colours, rarely pastel; black trousers; black cami with bright coloured chiffon or devore jacket ... black is always a "go with"!
I mainly wear black when travelling paired with purple. They are very serviceable colours for that purpose.
I have a lot of black clothes and wear them often.Light colours stain so easily. I am trying to wear less black as I get older but mostly wear black pants or skirts.
it seemed to be the uniform for younger girls once everywhere you went they all wore black. and all looked the same, hard to tell who was who.
black linen pants in summer - just love them.
always loved 'the little black dress' look -
now that i'm older, tend to wear less close to my
face, and have fallen in love with a certain grey, if i can find it in my op shops.
I wear a mixture of black and colour. I do love bright colours and patterns, especially tunics. I usually wear jeans or black pants and sometimes a skirt and this is often black. My tops are almost always bright colours.
Yes....black skirt, black cardigan with different coloured tee shirts/blouses for work (oh and black shoes). My cat also wears a fluffy black coat.
black clothes suit my colouring
I love black. Winter and summer, love blak linen in summer and black anything in winter. Love, love love it.
yes, black linen pants in summer, tho the ironing is the 'not happy about this' part

Black is very servicable and very easy to wear when one doesn't know what to throw on. I am a "autumn" colours girl but very difficult to find the browns in varying shades any season...orange and reds are nice for me too...and all go with black LOL...
Yes I nearly wear black everyday, I like to stick with modest clothes and I adore the colour black and the things that it represents to me

Yes, I wear black clothes, but I do like bright colours as well. I have a very mixed wardrobe. As I have gotten older, I can wear black now, in my younger days it was a definite no no
I only tend to use black to accessorise. I love bright colours, and in fact get a lot of compliments from the various mix of colours I use. After retiring I stayed away from "corporate" clothes and what I wear now reflects my personality more. At present my favourite colours are red and orange (not necessarily together). I do like a "pop" of colour!
I often wear something that is black. I used to be a Goth many years ago so it's a hard habit to break.
I even try not to wear all black to funerals. I donít like a plain bright colour on me either. I like lots of bright colours on me. I now have 19 bright flower coloured dresses, which I only buy if I like the patterns & colours. In winter, I wear my colourful dresses with black leggings, thick sox, short black leather boats & a black coat & scarf.
On our cruises, I do take a pair of black silk pants/slacks for the 'formal nights' & I wear them with various patterned silk blouses. I also wear the same black slacks & the same patterned top every port day, because it's easier not to have to worry about what I'm going to wear ashore! Then I wash them on the 'at sea' days.

Part 3: After telling myself, that I would NEVER buy myself an all black dress, I DID! Just recently. It was in the same style as my floral cotton dresses & I thought the new long gold necklaces I now have would go nicely with it. I also have a beautiful silver brooch which doesn't go with my patterned dresses, but will go with my new black dress. (I usually only wear GOLD jewellery, but my mother bought my 2 sisters a silver brooch or 2 each, so I had to find 1 to have from her as well! (They're made by our silversmith cousin & her Danish husband.)

Black Evening slacks to the Theatre I wear, with colourful blouses, a jacket, & usually, black comfy leather boots, matching leather tote bag.

Never know who you might meet there!

I went through the Goth phase as a teenager.... lots of black!

Now I usually wear an item of black clothing, but not a completely black outfit.
I wear black uniform to work, but otherwise I like to wear bright fresh colours in spring and summer, it makes me feel more femenine and fresh.
