I wear multi focals so yes, I need special ones for the computer, for reading and for long distance.

For convenience I only have one pair as that saves continually changing them over and I always wear them apart from when I watch TV in bed.

They also go dark in the sun and snow so I do not need separate sun glasses either -a great invention.

I have multifocal glasses with lenses that are shaped with computer work in mind. They are more expensive but save me having to deal with two separate pairs of glasses.
I wear glasses for reading and the computer. I can get by without them but not for long because other I will get a really bad headache if I don't wear them

No I am very fortunate that reading, and computer work does not give my eyes any trouble at all. YET!!!!!!!! Hee Hee !!!!!
Yes I wear glasses for the computer
by Fran
Nope, my standard glasses work in all situations!
The days are coming when I will need to have multifocals though :)
I also need 2 other kinds.
One I wear when not on the computer, for everyday .
The second I bought is 6 magnification, I wear for a minute or two, when trying to thread a needle, or my sewing machine, or taking out a splinter...anything like that.
No thank goodness. I imagine it would be annoying.

Vee, why annoying? Had glasses cord attached, so no problem putting them on & off. Often one doesn't have a choice.

Fair enough, but I see my husband and he has to be extra careful, especially around our son who seems to think that glasses are very interesting and can't wait to get his hands on them. I also think I would have trouble misplacing glasses if I had them - much like I have trouble misplacing my keys.
by Vee
I'm a real bugger for losing my glasses; and as for my keys - well lets just say I'm glad my partner has a set :)
Yes, sure did. I'm longsighted & can't stand glare.
So got prescription glasses, specifically for working on computer!
I need glasses to see short distances so I need to wear them all the time but especially when I am on the computer or reading. I also have special lenses in my glasses that relieve the strain on my eyes as I spend the vast majority of my day on my laptop.
Yes. As I spent a minimum of 11 hours daily on the computer, my glasses help with relief from dry eye and constant strain on the eyes.
No, I can just enlarge all the words, on my laptop.

I've now had both cataracts removed, so I only need 2.50 cheap magnifying glasses. I started with a $20 pr from a chemist, then I found them in the bargain shops, so I now only pay $4 for them. I saw them in another bargain shop for $6, but that shop has now closed!
